Shape memory alloys have two unique properties of shape effect (SME) and superelasticity (SE) that are the ability for large inelastic deformations recovery after heating stress removal (SE). In recent years, structural engineers used these materials in field civil engineering’s, such as applications SMAs repair, retrofitting, rehabilitation concrete structures, dampers, vibration isolation systems, control, prestressing members, etc. To overcome reduce potential seismic risk understanding characteristics under different loading conditions is one critical steps. Despite various types researches carried out on SMAs' applications, there was a need review progress current method structures. address it, brief Reinforced Concrete (RC) beam-column joints conducted.
